Overview

An insurance broker working with one of our insurer clients faced significant inefficiencies in daily data processing. The broker's software house system did not output policy data in the bordereau format required by the insurer. As a result, broker staff were manually converting.

Ingenuity's Solution

To meet these requirements, Ingenuity designed a fully automated, standalone data conversion application. Unlike a spreadsheet-based tool, which could slow down with increased data volume and was prone to errors if data import was mishandled, Ingenuity's solution was robust and scalable. The broker simply selects the input file from the software house system, and Ingenuity's tool automatically converts the data into the desired bordereau format within minutes. This automated process eliminates manual intervention, reduces error risk, and provides a reliable and efficient solution for daily data reporting.

Additional Benefits and Results

During development, Ingenuity provided an unexpected additional value: a data quality report. Through analysis of the data output from the software house system, we identified inconsistencies in how broker staff were capturing data.
