The Task

A client transitioning from two separate entities—an MGA and a brokerage—into a unified MGA required significant operational adjustments. This included rebranding and copying all their products across five different software houses, as well as testing documentation and EDI for new business, mid-term adjustments (MTA), and renewals. The goal was to ensure all processes aligned with the new entity's requirements, ready for live operation by early December to facilitate the following years renewals. With a tight schedule, the testing phase began in mid-September and needed to be completed by the end of October.

Our Support

The client's in-house testing team, though highly capable, required additional resources to meet the project's demands. Ingenuity was brought in to integrate seamlessly with their teams, building and running test plans independently or collaboratively as needed. We focused on business process testing, including manual testing of point-of-sale documentation and EDI. Additionally, our automation tools supported batch testing of rates for parity with existing products, stepping in when a software house's batch testing solution was unexpectedly unavailable.

The Outcome

Despite the usual challenges of tight timeframes and variable delivery schedules, Ingenuity delivered the project on time and within budget. Our flexible and collaborative approach ensured we adapted to shifting deadlines and supplemented the client's team as needed, even taking on their internal test scripts when delays arose. Issues identified during testing not only addressed project requirements but also uncovered pre-existing live problems with the legacy products, adding long-term value to the client's operations.
